ATTENTION CEREC® DOCTORS:
It's Here - A Scannable Impression System!
Green-Mousse® & Mach-Scannable™ are suitable for CEREC® 3.8 software users to utilize together when it’s otherwise too difficult to obtain scanning data intraorally – e.g. there’s difficulty isolating the prep for application of powder, inaccessibility of the scanning camera due to a limited opening of the patient’s mouth, etc. It reduces time spent chairside dealing with these recurrent issues and actually helps improve the overall accuracy of scans, too.
Here’s how:
After you’ve completed the preparation for the restoration, syringe Mach-Scannable into the gingival sulcus and across all desired teeth (keep the tip immersed in the material to avoid air entrapment). Next, place the impression tray – loaded with Green-Mousse – over the prep and wait two minutes for the material to set. Remove the tray with a quick, firm motion and then dry. Voila – you have a perfectly scannable impression.
For all of our CEREC 3.8 practitioners out there who use the software’s impression scanning program, this system is particularly convenient in that you no longer have to apply any of that messy powder in order for the impression to be scannable. Also, since both materials produce low speckle noise, you’re assured a precise virtual model every time you use this handy system.
Now that you know how well Green-Mousse and Mach-Scannable work together, learn more about them individually:
